The Glasgow School of Art

Perhaps the purest form of observational and interpretive art - this class is an intensive week of drawing and painting exercises from still life. Working from arrangements with the nuances of measurement, perspective, symmetry, ambient light and shadows are among some of the issues studied. Students will go on to learn how to create a strong composition, blocking in the initial shapes before adding in details. This course is suitable for all abilities from beginners to those wishing to extend their existing practices.  NB – This is a 4 day course (Tues-Fri)

Discounted Fee Information 
If you are a senior citizen in receipt of a state pension, unemployed or a full time FE or HE student, the discounted fee as stated in the course description is applicable - use Promotion code SS_23. You will be required to email a scanned copy of your evidence to open-studio@gsa.ac.uk. For customers booking two or more courses over the Summer, a discounted rate is also available -use Promotion Code Multi_23. To benefit from the Discounted Fees, you need to select the course(s) you want to attend and enter the relevant code in the ‘Promotion Code’ box.  Discounts given at time of booking only.  No discounts for Portfolio or Children’s courses.
