Get inspired by the age-old craft of stone carving in this week-long course. Taking inspiration from historical and contemporary artists, you will develop a design that will be transferable from two dimensional to three dimensional. Through a series of progressive exercises delivered stage by stage in the process, you will learn the skills that will enable you to create and cut a bespoke small carving in limestone. Stone carving tools will be provided. The initial block of limestone is included in the price. This course is suitable for beginners.

Discounted Fee Information
If you are a senior citizen in receipt of a state pension, unemployed or a full time FE or HE student, the discounted fee as stated in the course description is applicable - use Promotion code SS_23.  You will be required to email a scanned copy of your evidence to open-studio@gsa.ac.uk. For customers booking two or more courses over the Summer, a discounted rate is also available -use Promotion Code Multi_23. To benefit from the Discounted Fees, you need to select the course(s) you want to attend and enter the relevant code in the ‘Promotion Code’ box.  Discounts given at time of booking only.  No discounts for Portfolio or Children’s courses.
