Summer 2023 

What are Summer Accommodation costs?

From £41 per night per person.  We have a varied tariff to suit most of our guests.  Get in touch with your requirements and we can offer a no obligation quote. 

Is there a group discount? 

We offer a 10% reduction on bookings for 12+ people.

What types of room do you offer?

Queen bedrooms, all ensuite, within flat units of 6, 7 or 8. We do also have limited double rooms available within small flats bookable as a self catering unit. 

Are there communal areas? 

Within flats there is a lounge and kitchen shared by 6, 7 or 8. All lounges and kitchens are furnished with easy chairs/sofa, dining tables/breakfast bar & chairs/stools. Blythswood House also has several common rooms throughout including a games room and cinema space.

What is supplied in the kitchen?

Cooker, freezer, fridge, kettle and basic self-cater equipment are supplied.

Is there a cleaning service?

Yes, for communal areas (stairs/laundry/flat corridor) and flat lounges/kitchens. Short stay customers do not have daily room service. Weekly stay customers will have their room serviced once per week.

What utilities have to be paid for separately?

Laundry – £5.00* per wash/dry laundry load on a pay-as-you-go basis. *This price may be subject to change for summer 2023.

Is bedding provided? 

Yes, we provide you with a mattress protector, topper, linen, duvet and pillow.

Are towels included with my package?

Yes, towels are included with the cost of your room.

Is broadband provided?

Yes – wifi is available in all areas.

Is there cycle storage on the premises? 

Yes, internal storage in basement. All cycles must be stored in designated cycle racks due to fire safety regulations.

Is there a car park on the premises?

No – Blythswood House has no allocated parking, but on-street short-stay parking is available in the surrounding area.

Is the accommodation non-smoking?

Yes – smoking is now banned in Scotland in all indoor public places & away from entrance doors, which includes campus buildings and halls of residence. Electric cigarettes are included in this policy.

Is there a lift onsite?

Yes, there are 2 lifts.

Is the premises staffed at night?

Yes – The site is staffed 24/7.  Main reception open 8am-6pm. 

How much are replacement key costs?

£30 per set.

Is the accommodation close to public transport links?

Yes – bus, train and subway links are 2 – 10 minutes’ walk from Blythswood House.
