Programme overview
The Master of Architectural Studies (MAS) in Energy and Environment examines the critical relationship between architecture, energy use, and sustainability. Responding to global environmental challenges, the programme explores how buildings and cities can be designed for low energy, low carbon, and high-quality living. Students engage with both theoretical and practical approaches to sustainable architecture, investigating building performance, technology, and innovation. Teaching is closely linked with industry and research developments, offering insights into environmental design methods and evidence-based practice. Graduates emerge with the knowledge and analytical skills to design buildings and environments that meet contemporary social, ecological, and technological demands. All degree programmes are validated by the University of Glasgow.
