GSA Scholarships for 2026/27 Entry

The Glasgow School of Art offers a wide range of scholarships for new Undergraduate and Postgraduate students beginning their studies in the 2026/27 academic year. If you have received a Conditional or Unconditional offer to study at the GSA, you may be eligible to apply.

Our International Merit Scholarships are currently open. These Scholarships offer the opportunity of a tuition fee reduction for International fee-paying students.

A range of additional scholarship opportunities, including awards based on financial need, are outlined in the Scholarship Guides below. These scholarships require a separate application, with a deadline of 29 May 2026 at 16:00 GMT.

GSA International Merit Scholarships 2026/27

The Glasgow School of Art offers a range of tuition fee reduction scholarships for students classified as International fee-paying for September 2026 entry. These awards recognise the overall strength of an application, including portfolio, academic profile and personal statement.

Eligible applicants who hold a conditional or unconditional offer will be automatically considered.

GSA Financial Support Scholarships 2026/27

The guides below contain information on a range of scholarships awarded by the GSA primarily on the basis of financial need.  Some of our scholarships offer a contribution toward tuition fees, while others offer a maintenance grant to support living costs during your studies.  The value of the scholarship does not reflect the full cost of undertaking full-time study and, unless otherwise stated, the scholarships are for one academic year only.

The GSA Financial Support Scholarships application deadline for 2026/27is Friday 29th May 2026 at 16.00 hours GMT

We advise checking the scholarship guides regularly before submitting your application, as new scholarships may become available and existing opportunities may be updated up until the deadline. The GSA reserves the right to make changes to available scholarships or to withhold awards in any given year.

How to apply for Financial Support Scholarships

Eligible applicants may apply for a maximum of two GSA Financial Support Scholarships, using one application form to cover both choices. Due to high demand, late applications cannot be accepted.

As the Scholarship Committee reviews a high number of applications, your application should clearly explain why you require funding and how it will support you to succeed with your studies at the GSA. Unless otherwise stated, scholarships will be awarded based solely on the information provided in your application form and any required supporting documents or artwork (where thisis a requirement).  Only applicants who meet all eligibility criteria for the scholarships they have selected will be considered.

Scholarship applications will only be assessed after the applicationdeadline on 29th May 2026.

The Scholarships Application Form opens in Microsoft Form.  

Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their scholarship application by 31 July 2026 at the latest.
