Each year, The Glasgow School of Art has a number of Scholarships available for applicants and students to apply for. You can find details of awards for 2026/27 entry listed below.
GSA International Clearing Scholarships
The Glasgow School of Art (GSA) is offering £4,000 scholarships to undergraduate applicants classified as international fee-paying who receive an offer through Clearing, as a contribution towards the cost of their studies for the 2026/27 academic year.
The Clearing Scholarship is automatically awarded to eligible undergraduate international fee-paying students who apply through Clearing and receive an offer to study at the GSA.

£4,000 (a one-off award applied towards the first year's tuition fees only)

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be classified as an international fee-paying student.
- Apply through Clearing and receive an offer to study a full-time undergraduate programme starting in September 2026.
- Receive a form Clearing offer from the GSA.
The scholarship is not available to:
- Applicants who already hold an offer from the GSA through the main UCAS application cycle.

Cowrie Scholarship Foundation Scholarships 2026/27
The GSA has scholarships available through the Cowrie Scholarships Foundation, open for new undergraduate students joining the GSA in September 2026/27.
The eadline for applications is Friday August at 4 pm GMT time.
Cowrie Scholarship Foundation
The Cowrie Scholarship Foundation (CSF) will offer a scholarship to support Black African and Caribbean heritage applicants from socio-economically underrepresented backgrounds.
The scholarship will provide a maintenance stipend of up to £8,000 and a tuition fee waiver for Rest of UK students for each year of your programme. Scottish students will receive a maintenance stipend of up to £8,000 for each year of their programme and should apply to SAAS for tuition fee support.

GSA International Merit Scholarships 2026/27
The Glasgow School of Art offers a range of tuition fee reduction scholarships for students classified as International fee-paying for September 2026 entry. These awards recognise the overall strength of an application, including portfolio, academic profile and personal statement.
Eligible applicants who hold a conditional or unconditional offer will be automatically considered.

GSA Financial Support Scholarships 2026/27
The GSA Financial Support Scholarships deadline has passed for the 26/27 academic year, and the Scholarship Committee have made their awards.
Information on the 27/28 GSA Financial Need Scholarships will be published on this page in January 2027.

External Scholarships and Funding
We expect that students will look at all possible avenues to procure funding to support their studies such as part-time employment, external scholarships and statutory funds. We have some examples and advice about looking for external sources of funding available here.
