Programme overview
The Master of Architectural Studies (MAS) in Urban Buildings investigates the reciprocal relationships between architecture, landscape, and the morphology of the city, with Glasgow serving as a living context for study. Students explore the themes of type, technique, and topography, analysing how history, construction, and site inform contemporary design. Through design-led investigation, they examine how buildings engage with place, form, and identity within the urban fabric. The programme develops critical and creative approaches to the design of urban form, equipping graduates to contribute to architectural practice, urban design, and research with a strong contextual and theoretical foundation. All degree programmes are validated by the University of Glasgow.
