biography
Since graduating from the MFA department at Glasgow School of Art in 2005, Macintyre has exhibited widely, both within the UK and internationally. Significant solo exhibitions include; Pieces of You Are Here, Dundee Contemporary Arts, Spolia, Cample Line, Dumfriesshire, Four Paper Fugues, Mount Stuart, Isle of Bute (part of GENERATION 25 Years of Contemporary Art in Scotland), Granite and Rainbow, Wiels, Brussels, Form and Freedom, Kunsthaus Baselland, Basel, Nought to Sixty, ICA, London. Group exhibitions include Neuglerig?, Kunst und Ausstellungshalle der Bundesrepublik Deutschland, Bonn, Better living with…, Museum Ludwig, Cologne, Solace, Austrian Cultural Forum, New York, Fit to Print, Gagosian Gallery (Madison Ave.), New York.
Research interests
Her work takes the forms of photographic and sculptural installations and takes leave where these two fields intersect and overlap - investigating ways in which photographs can exist in space as three dimensional objects and
