biography

I'm a graphic designer and musician working through practice-research in typically multidisciplinary ways. My work is concerned with the speculative and social nature of design practice. Since graduating from the Royal College of Art I've worked in international design research labs, renowned graphic design studios and have run an independent graphic design studio since 2010. My clients range from the fields of publishing, art, culture, theory and politics as well as design for social justice, environmental groups, education and research institutions. I often produce book design, printed and digital media, workshops, objects, film and speculative proposals. I've taught and presented across the UK, Europe and Internationally. My design and research practice has been increasingly focused on interdisciplinary ways that communication design extends into fields of moving image, sound and writing. These have developed into audiovisual research projects through video work, audio essays and the areas between documentary, theory and fiction.
